Kyle Brooks (Owner)

Kyle has been a hairstylist since 1984 and a salon owner since 2003. In addition to cutting hair full-time behind the chair, he manages Salon @ 5th.
Kyle received his training from Peter Web, a renowned platform artist in the UK. Additionally, he has taken countless hair classes since cosmetology school with a strong emphasis on men’s barbering and women’s hair design.
In his years working as a hairstylist, Kyle has worked in a variety of salons and spas in both New York state and Philadelphia. However, his favorite experience has been working in the small personal salon environment, especially in his favorite neighborhood Society Hill.

Bernadette DePoulter (stylist)

As a daughter of a cosmetology instructor, Bernadette has been passionate about hair her entire life. She graduated from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in 2006, and started working at Salon@5th in March 2006 as a stylist assistant, but now has her own chair and clientele. Bernadette finds it difficult to narrow down her favorite services to do, as she loves doing a wide range of them. Notably, she is an expert with wedding updos. She also attends classes regularly to further her education with the newest styles.

Faith Hutchinson (stylist)
natural color, dimensional color, curly hair design, low fuss hairstyles, keratin complex, relaxers
Faith has had her hands in hair since 1992. She is a hairstylist that continues to see the value in educating herself with new techniques and trends, knowing one can never learn too much. She has received advanced training from Redken NYC and Vidal Sassoon London.
Helping her clients achieve their hair goals is Faith’s passion . She says, “There are times when a transformation in a hairstyle will really make a difference in someone’s life. I love that what I do can make people feel better about themselves. It’s one of the most rewarding aspects of my craft.”
In her spare time, Faith enjoys cooking, crafts, and sci-fi. She is always challenging herself with a new endeavor, which at present is college mathematics.
Faith is a down-to-earth stylist who will help you feel comfortable in the chair and will help you learn to work the best with what you have.

Jennifer Morrone (stylist)

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience as a stylist in the south street/society hill area. Jennifer has owned and managed two successful salons in the south street area for ten years. Jennifer joined salon @5th in 2008. She has familiarity with many color lines, has advanced training in cutting, color with Aveda and Wella. Also, Jennifer specializes in formal up stlyes as well as make-up application.

Kelly Boyd ( stylist)
corrective color, blowouts, relaxers
Kelly has been with Salon @ 5th since May 2008. She embarked on her cosmetology career in 2001 and graduated from Bucks County School of Beauty Culture in 2004 with an associate degree in cosmetology. Kelly loves helping her clients learn how to recreate salon styles at home as well as educating them on the science of healthy hair. She also enjoys continuing to perfect her craft by attending hair classes.

Sherry Weng ( stylist)
cuts, color, highlights, textured hair
Sherry has been in the hair industry since 1998. She has had extensive training in various color techniques, including Color Clusters Corrective Color. She enjoys all hair textures, edgey and off-beat styles, and dramatic makeovers. She is a welcome addition to the Salon @ 5th team!
